Role Overview
This position is for a Logistics Specialist working remotely on a contract basis. The specialist will be responsible for managing comprehensive logistics functions and refining supply chain operations to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. The role requires analyzing data to detect trends, minimize expenses, and enhance service quality across various regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute logistics strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution systems.
- Track and report key metrics including on-time delivery rates, cost per shipment, and inventory turnover.
- Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams to align supply chain activities with overall business goals.
- Identify risks in the supply chain, such as supplier issues and logistical constraints, and implement mitigation plans.
- Utilize data analytics platforms to predict demand and streamline inventory management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, supply chain planning, or similar areas.
- Competence in supply chain management software and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data for informed decision-making.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with internal teams and external partners.
- Preferably knowledgeable in international shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
