Logistics Supervisor

Job Overview

As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in the daily operational management of the delivery station, acting as a deputy to the Operations Manager when necessary. Your key focus will be to enhance safety, oversee the activities of logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates, and ensure shipments meet or exceed operational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support overall daily operational duties and stand in for the Operations Manager when required.
• Prioritize and continuously improve safety protocols within the delivery station.
• Supervise logistics team members including assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to guarantee timely and efficient shipments.
• Monitor performance of coordinators and associates, provide coaching, and collaborate with support departments to optimize logistics workflows.
• Communicate with delivery service providers to establish expectations and improve service quality.
• Conduct interviews for associate positions and oversee briefing and workload monitoring for drivers and associates.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness in administrative tasks and track daily operational metrics and workflows.
• Assist the Operations Manager with regular performance tracking, trending, and reporting.
• Train and mentor new associates to equip them with necessary operational knowledge.
• Address and resolve process-related issues as they arise.
• Flexibly adapt to varying shifts and work overtime when needed.
• Manage resourcing from multiple angles including training needs, absence management, coaching, and continual productivity monitoring alongside the Operations Manager.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in team management.
• Strong background in planning, performance measurement, and process improvement.
• Preferred experience in logistics operations and data analysis.
