About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our team in Ardmore on a six-month contract with the possibility of extension. This position is key to ensuring smooth maintenance workflows, effective resource allocation, and timely completion of maintenance tasks that contribute to excellent operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor work-in-progress data to ensure alignment with customer requirements regarding scope, schedule, and budget, taking corrective steps when necessary.
- Manage the entire job lifecycle from initiation through tracking and closure, including accurate cost recording and reporting.
- Create and update servicing project plans and Gantt charts highlighting milestones and critical path activities.
- Prepare comprehensive maintenance work packages ahead of time, factoring in updates and expected deviations.
- Maintain and manage aircraft maintenance databases covering forecasting, life-limited parts, and regulatory compliance.
- Document and monitor modifications, inspections, logbooks, and technical logs to comply with maintenance and airworthiness standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to balance workload and ensure deadlines are met.
- Organize subcontractor services and coordinate with service providers.
- Review completed jobs and trend data to identify and apply improvements for future projects.
- Adhere strictly to Airbus policies, as well as national and international regulations and safety procedures.
- Champion a safety-first culture and embody Airbus values throughout all activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- Comprehensive background in aircraft maintenance engineering or aviation technical support roles.
- Detailed understanding of maintenance interactions with airworthiness, engineering design, and support functions.
- Thorough knowledge of aviation legislation such as DASR, CASA, and EASA.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commercial insight with the ability to make cost-efficient decisions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience or formal training in project management.
- Planning experience within an engineering or technical environment.
- Experience overseeing subcontracted maintenance services.
- Technical engineering qualification or relevant equivalent experience.
- Diploma in Planning, Business, or a technical discipline is advantageous.
- Project management certification is desirable.
