Meat Associate

Overview

Join Walmart Canada as a Meat Associate, an excellent opportunity to enhance your retail and customer service skills. In this role, you will uphold Walmart's core principles while managing the meat section, assisting customers, and supporting inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the meat department area efficiently.
• Monitor stock freshness by rotating products and removing expired items.
• Ensure all merchandise is clearly priced and labeled correctly.
• Comply with food safety standards relating to cold storage, temperature monitoring, and product expiration.
• Take orders for deli products and prepare items such as sliced meat, cheese, and fried chicken.
• Properly execute procedures for ordering, clearance sales, price adjustments, and product labeling.
• Prepare deli food orders using slicers and other equipment, cook chicken with rotisserie ovens and deep fryers, and assemble salads and side dishes for display or customer orders.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations throughout all processes.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage offered for this role is $16.80.

Minimum Qualifications
