Role overview

Operations is a critical function at SyntheticFi. In this role, you will act as the key operational link between the company, financial advisors, end clients, and custodian partners. Your work will help make sure accounts are opened correctly, transfers move without friction, advisors get prompt support, and operational issues are handled quickly and accurately.

This position goes beyond routine back-office support. It has a direct effect on client satisfaction, advisor relationships, and the company’s ability to scale. You will also contribute to building and strengthening the operational systems that support a fast-growing fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day communication with custodian partners to keep document processing on track, address mismatches, and support margin-related requirements.
• Oversee new client account creation, manage documentation, and act as the primary contact for operational questions.
• Make sure all operational work follows internal procedures and applicable financial regulations.
• Look for ways to improve workflows and operational efficiency, including possible support for new software or automation rollouts.
• Work with product, engineering, and leadership teams on new financial offerings by evaluating operational fit, shaping workflows, and testing implementation steps.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with RIA custodians such as Charles Schwab, Pershing, Fidelity, or comparable institutions.
• Background supporting advisor, brokerage, wealth management, or RIA operations.
• Solid knowledge of account opening, transfer processes, and related operational procedures.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Proven troubleshooting skills and a proactive mindset for resolving operational problems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management abilities.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
• Exposure to options, derivatives, margin lending, or securities-backed lending products.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Retool, Zapier, or similar automation tools.
• Previous startup experience.
