Role Summary
We are seeking a Physics Specialist with a strong academic background (Master's or PhD) to join a client project full-time on a remote basis. This position involves crafting and solving advanced physics problems aimed at testing and enhancing the capabilities of large language models (LLMs). Candidates will produce thorough, stepwise solutions marked by clear and logical explanations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and tackle sophisticated physics problems to evaluate LLM performance.
- Develop detailed, step-by-step solutions with comprehensive reasoning for model assessment.
- Work closely with researchers to ensure that problem design aligns with evaluation objectives encompassing abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
- Assist in establishing novel evaluation benchmarks across physics topics spanning from early undergraduate levels to doctoral research.
- Offer constructive critiques and meticulous annotations aimed at improving LLM outputs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Deep understanding of physics domains including quantum mechanics, relativity, and electromagnetism.
- Capability to simplify and clarify complex physics ideas into easily understandable explanations.
- Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills suited to remote collaboration.
- Proficient research and analytical thinker with innovative and lateral problem-solving approaches.
- Highly self-driven and capable of independently managing work in a remote environment.
