About the Role
Join CatholicCare Sydney as a Physiotherapist at their Integritas Allied Health clinic in Cabramatta West. This full-time ongoing position offers a mixture of onsite and hybrid working during school hours. You'll work with a multidisciplinary team to assist clients across Southwest, focusing on person-centered, evidence-based care that empowers children, families, young people, and adults with disabilities to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team and clients' families to assess and overcome functional and mobility challenges improving client independence.
- Utilize targeted functional assessment tools aligned with individual client goals and medical conditions to guide interventions.
- Prescribe and coordinate mobility aids and life-enhancing equipment with external providers ensuring optimal client support.
- Develop, implement, and monitor tailored therapeutic exercise programs providing clear documentation for ongoing care.
- Educate clients and caregivers on fall prevention and strategies to mitigate decline through teamwork and engagement.
- Lead oedema management initiatives within the Home Care team for proactive treatment of chronic conditions.
- Inform clients and families about reablement and disability support options, facilitating referrals as appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
- Valid NSW driver's license with access to a registered vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Check clearance.
- Experience with children, young people, and adults with intellectual disabilities is desired.
- Proficiency in designing restorative or maintenance programs for the elderly and fall prevention education is beneficial.
