Job Overview
The Preloader role involves the physical handling of packages, including loading and unloading shipments, operating equipment, and supporting various logistics activities in a fast-moving environment. It requires adherence to UPS's standardized package handling processes and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Master and accurately apply UPS's established methods for handling packages.
- Load and unload packages into delivery trailers and package cars effectively and safely.
Requirements
- Capability to lift weights up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
- Competence in reading and memorizing postal codes.
- Willingness and availability to work flexible shifts, potentially up to five days a week.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
