Private Equity Associate

Overview

We are looking for an analytically strong finance professional with experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Transaction Advisory to develop and assess advanced financial modeling workflows powering innovative AI initiatives. This fully remote role engages at the intersection of finance and AI, requiring creation of detailed financial models and collaboration on projects enhancing AI systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and scrutinize complex financial analysis including mergers and acquisitions due diligence, data room reviews, leveraged buyout (LBO) and discounted cash flow (DCF) models, three-statement models, quality of earnings assessments, credit and debt evaluations, EBITDA bridges, and financial forecasting.
• Develop high-standard financial modeling benchmarks and validation systems.
• Oversee and validate the work of finance subject matter experts ensuring precision and uniformity.
• Create evaluation criteria, scoring metrics, and quality guidelines for financial projects.
• Leverage AI tools and automation platforms to optimize workflows, enhance output quality, and boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams to plan, implement, and complete finance-centric projects end-to-end.
• Analyze AI model effectiveness on finance tasks and suggest refinements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory services, corporate finance, or financial consulting.
• Advanced expertise in building financial models from the ground up.
• In-depth knowledge of three-statement modeling, DCF valuation, LBO frameworks, financial statement analysis, M&A transactions, and valuation approaches.
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel at an expert level.
• Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
• Capability to work autonomously within a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience utilizing AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent tools.
• Leadership experience managing finance teams or junior analysts.
• Background in private equity portfolio management, transaction services, or financial due diligence.
• Track record in developing process improvements, automation workflows, or organizational tools.
