About the Role
You will manage the procurement of parts, materials, equipment, and services crucial for supporting aircraft maintenance operations. Your mission is to ensure cost-efficient sourcing, timely delivery, and strict adherence to regulatory and company policies. Collaboration across departments and meticulous handling of documentation and certification is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure parts, materials, equipment, and services from current suppliers and identify new sourcing options.
- Assist the team in assessing and selecting suppliers.
- Facilitate the approval process for onboarding new suppliers when necessary.
- Generate and update purchase orders accurately.
- Choose suppliers that guarantee both speed and cost efficiency in deliveries.
- Keep comprehensive records of purchase orders and certification documents.
- File invoices for accounting and financial reconciliation.
- Assist with the return processes for supplier parts, including core returns.
- Develop and maintain strong contracts and business ties with suppliers.
- Spot and implement initiatives to reduce procurement costs.
- Ensure proactive tracking of each procurement request to avoid delays.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, inventory, and finance teams.
- Update and maintain product data sheets in the company's database as necessary.
- Support warehouse operations and participate in annual inventory audits.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, using only approved equipment and materials.
Qualifications and Experience
- College diploma or an equivalent educational qualification.
- Previous experience in procurement or purchasing coordination is required.
- Certification in aeronautical supply chain management is considered an advantage.
- Familiarity or experience with the Corridor system is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Capability to interpret technical certification documents related to aircraft components (e.g., 8130-1, Form 1, Certificate of Conformity).
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Eligibility to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
