About Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana
Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana, with a 58-year history, is the pioneering cable manufacturing company in Ghana, situated in the Tema Heavy Industrial Area. To enhance productivity and meet operational goals, the company is restructuring its production function, creating the need for a Production Coordinator role to close operational gaps.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and synchronize daily production tasks across multiple cable manufacturing stages including wire drawing, stranding, insulation, armouring, sheathing, and packaging.
- Ensure adherence to approved production plans and timely delivery aligned with client schedules.
- Monitor and report any production delays, machine downtimes, or shortages in materials promptly.
- Evaluate production performance metrics such as output, waste, downtime, efficiency, and quality against set KPIs.
- Guarantee that all production activities uphold company quality standards and comply with product specifications.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience coordinating production schedules and managing shop floor operations.
- Solid comprehension of cable manufacturing processes and related production workflows.
- Excellent planning and organizational capabilities.
- Academic qualification of a Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a relevant production coordination capacity.
