Role Overview

We are seeking a Production Process Engineer to oversee process performance at our Wicklow facility. This role is unique because it encompasses the entire production cycle—from laboratory work, fermentation, and drying, to packaging and quality control—covering the complete path from strain development to the final product.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and nurture a team of production operators.
• Maintain a Zero Harm safety culture and rigorously enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
• Investigate process deviations, conduct trials, and implement measurable process enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with laboratory, quality control, engineering, and commercial departments.
• Travel occasionally as job demands require.
• Work according to a shift-based schedule.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A relevant tertiary qualification in chemical, process, biochemical, biotechnology, or food engineering.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in production or process engineering within fermentation, brewing, distilling, food, pharmaceutical, or related sectors.
• Strong technical capabilities paired with analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, understanding the critical impact of small variations in fermentation processes.
• Proactive mindset, energetic approach, and confidence in decision-making.
• Adaptability to meet process demands and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
