Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator

Role Overview

Dawn Aerospace seeks a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to oversee procurement, inventory management, logistics, and material coordination for both its In-Space Propulsion and Spaceplane projects. This pivotal role supports day-to-day purchasing and inventory functions ensuring engineers and production teams receive essential materials promptly, while improving inventory accuracy and operational procedures as the company expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate and oversee purchase orders efficiently.
• Coordinate supplier shipments and follow up on orders.
• Maintain and update purchasing and inventory records in ERP systems.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits across sites.
• Ensure accuracy in inventory data and proper stock location tracking.
• Manage consumable inventory areas and restocking activities.
• Facilitate receiving, material handling, and internal stock movements.
• Support coordination of freight, shipping logistics, and related documentation including customs paperwork when needed.
• Maintain supplier and purchasing databases.
• Collaborate with operational teams to enhance purchasing and inventory workflows.
• Work closely with teams from In Space Propulsion and Spaceplane to align processes and meet operational needs.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
• Comfortable handling diverse activities spanning purchasing, logistics, inventory, and operational support.
• Pragmatic and process-oriented mindset balancing improvements with daily operational continuity.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to cooperate across multiple teams.
• Experience in ERP systems and in purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
• Interest in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or fast-growth technology sectors considered a plus.
