Role Overview - Quantity Surveyor I

• Perform accurate quantity measurements for subcontractor works.
• Maintain detailed records comparing completed work to Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
• Review subcontractor interim payment claims for accuracy in quantities and rates.
• Assess quantities involved in variations or claims and assist in final measurements.
• Communicate with supervisors during the construction and close-out phases to obtain guidance.
• Proactively assist the team in meeting project demands by reviewing quantities and rates for subcontractor payments.
• Follow established procedures for material take-offs derived from drawings, specifications, and BOQs, supporting with necessary documentation.
• Keep accurate records of material take-offs, BOQ measurements, and approved drawings.
• Track free issue materials, manpower, and equipment provided by Petrofac when subcontractors cannot source items directly.
• Help determine work extent and value for interim subcontractor payments.
• Assist in evaluating quantities related to contract or subcontract variations and claims.
• Coordinate, verify, and monitor daily third-party services directly hired by Petrofac; review associated quantities and invoices.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Quality System procedures and requirements.
• Perform site verification and measurement of as-built conditions versus planned site measurements, maintaining records.
• Support the team in final account measurements with subcontractors.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a university degree in Engineering or relevant qualification such as RICS accreditation, Diploma in Engineering, or Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
• Have practical experience in quantity surveying involving technical skills like take-offs, site measurements, rate assessments, and payment processes.
• Experience with similar projects or roles will also be considered valuable.
