Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Al Ain, UAE. This crucial position involves managing cost control activities across various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from project start to finish. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with leadership to optimize project budgets and contribute to client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Take lead and assist in delivering full Cost Management services to ensure projects meet deadlines, scope, and quality expectations.
• Develop precise cost estimates, plans, and tender documents aligned with project criteria.
• Oversee project costs during all phases, providing clear financial reports and strategic advice on cost control.
• Work collaboratively with senior surveyors, multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and stakeholders to promote smooth project delivery.
• Prepare, assess, and finalize valuations, variations, and project final accounts with strict adherence to contracts.
• Advise and support clients and design teams on cost planning, value engineering, and risk assessment to guide informed decisions.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of construction costs, procurement procedures, and contract management practices.
• Leverage advanced digital tools for measurement, cost planning, and tender document creation to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in business development efforts including bid preparation and fostering client relations.
• Ensure all deliverables conform to agreed timelines, quality levels, and client satisfaction while effectively handling complex project challenges.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or related discipline.
• Professional accreditation or progression towards Chartered Status with RICS or an equivalent body.
• At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a consultancy setting offering Cost Management services.
• Proven proficiency in Pre-Contract Estimating, Procurement, Cost Reporting, and Final Accounts.
• Strong understanding of construction financials, procurement, and contract administration processes.
• Competence in digital measurement software, cost planning, and tender documentation platforms.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with a team-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of standard construction contracts and regulatory frameworks.

Preferred:

• Experience with construction projects in UAE or Middle East markets.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards, regulations, and local procurement practices.
• Understanding of UAE-specific contract types and compliance requirements.
• Skills in value management and project risk analysis.
• Advanced skills in specialized cost management software and BIM tools.
• Experience in driving business growth and managing client relationships.
• Certifications in project management or advanced cost planning methods.
