Zaxbys is growing, and this opening is for a Restaurant Utility Worker in Westfield, Indiana. The job focuses on keeping the restaurant clean, safe, and in good working order through regular upkeep, deep cleaning, and basic equipment maintenance.

What this role involves
- Carry out all training required by Zax LLC.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and well-kept restaurant environment.
- Handle both planned and unplanned daily cleaning tasks along with routine maintenance work.
- Clean restaurant equipment regularly and perform preventive maintenance.
- Check, run, and test equipment to find problems.
- Take care of minor lighting repairs.
- Perform broad cleaning work, including deep cleaning and pressure washing inside and outside the location.
- Read and understand equipment manuals and work instructions.
- Inspect grounds, plumbing, electrical fixtures, outlets, kitchen equipment, and the building to catch issues early.
- Complete basic repairs when needed.
- Follow written safety rules, operating procedures, and related instructions.
- Keep maintenance records accurate, neat, and current.
- Work according to Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC standards, policies, and procedures.
- Follow all safety practices while performing the job.
- Show flexibility and be willing to do more than the minimum when needed.
- Report human resources and risk-related concerns right away to the General Manager and District Manager.
- Raise other issues with the supervisor when appropriate.
- Complete any other duties needed to keep restaurant operations running smoothly.
Schedule and availability
This position is full-time and on-site. Full-time availability must be 32 to 40 hours each week. The role requires a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications and requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, days, and holidays.
- Should have leadership qualities, strong organization, and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, crouch, and climb when needed, including ladder use.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
- Continuous use of hands and wrists for gripping and precise hand movements.
- Must be able to communicate clearly through speaking, reading, and writing.
- Need good visual and audio awareness to observe and respond to the work environment.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot and cold conditions and around food and outdoor allergens.
- Must be able to work safely with restaurant equipment, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous equipment.
