Role Summary

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Senior Planning Engineer based in Dubai to support the effective delivery of construction projects. This role focuses on developing, updating, and optimizing project schedules to ensure timely and efficient execution of site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed project timelines utilizing advanced tools such as Primavera P6.
• Examine project schedules, resource allocations, and dependencies to uncover potential delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to collect precise data for schedule revisions.
• Track construction progress against plans and report any discrepancies or delays.
• Develop and present progress updates to stakeholders, emphasizing critical milestones and risk areas.
• Perform resource planning and optimize the use of workforce and equipment.
• Support the formulation of recovery strategies when projects face schedule setbacks.
• Ensure adherence to Dubai's building regulations and codes.
• Engage in project meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making processes.
• Keep comprehensive records of planning-related documentation and schedule changes.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of experience in construction project planning, ideally with site-based responsibilities.
• Expertise in project scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently in dynamic environments.
• Deep understanding of construction methods and processes.
• Knowledge of local construction regulations specific to Dubai.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2) is preferred.
• Capacity to thrive within a multicultural workplace.
• Preparedness to work on-site and adjust to evolving project demands.
