About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to creating new products from the ground up, focusing on our Workforce product roadmap. This role offers close collaboration with senior leaders and a direct influence on meaningful outcomes in education technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for Learnosity's Workforce product.
• Lead planning, estimation, and scheduling activities, coordinating with cross-functional teams and management.
• Investigate complex software issues and deliver effective, lasting solutions.

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong knowledge and experience with agile software development methodologies.
• Proactive problem-solving capabilities with a focus on practical resolution.
• Over six years of experience developing web applications.
• Proficiency in Python and Typescript programming languages.
• Familiarity with multiple database types, including relational, NoSQL, and document-based systems, and optimizing queries in high-performance scenarios.
• Experience creating unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Deep understanding of design patterns and backend architecture best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, adaptable for different audiences.
• Strong skills in performing code reviews.
• Experience mentoring less-experienced developers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including machine learning and large language models.
• Background in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience setting up and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience working in startup-like environments embracing agility and innovation.
