About the Role
At Swiggy, Senior Software Development Engineers III are key contributors responsible for the comprehensive design and architecture of complex systems. They share the ownership of their team's technology vision and play a vital role in the team's overall success. Collaborating closely with product and business teams, they transform product features and specifications into detailed high-level and low-level designs, enabling the development of mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and promote best engineering practices to support team success and continual technological improvement.
- Champion code reviews, design discussions, and architectural deliberations within the team.
- Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies and tools, driving innovation while assessing the impact of such changes.
- Develop and execute the long-term technology strategy for the team.
- Own the complete product architecture.
- Design architectures and technical solutions for new and existing product areas.
- Make critical decisions on technology and tools for the team, taking full responsibility.
Candidate Profile
- Hands-on technical expertise in designing and developing real-time internet or large-scale SaaS applications.
- 6 to 9 years of product development experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong command of data structures and algorithms.
- Outstanding proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Golang.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience with web technologies including Java, Spring, Python, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Solr, Memcache, and Redis.
- Background in building high-performance services capable of handling millions of daily requests is advantageous.
