Software Engineer - Notifications

The Notifications team is a cross-functional squad focused on delivering impactful, relevant notifications across client devices by combining client development, infrastructure, and machine learning expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance notification delivery and preference settings on client devices.
• Develop and maintain the notification platform used by various teams to deliver engaging messages to users.
• Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers to refine notification signal quality on a global scale.
• Ensure robust operational health and optimal client performance of the notification platform.
• Work alongside Product and Design leaders to implement solutions that balance user satisfaction, timely delivery, and business impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a professional software engineering role.
• Skilled in at least one programming language such as Python, Elixir, or Typescript, with enthusiasm for acquiring new technical knowledge.
• Proven ability to reliably deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Meticulous attention to detail, prioritizing quality and self-review to avoid bugs reaching production.
• A collaborative and supportive team player committed to the growth and success of colleagues through constructive feedback.
• Focus on customer needs and comfortable working with defined, measurable team targets.

Compensation

The base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is between 160000 and 180000 USD annually, supplemented with equity and benefits. Compensation within this range depends on skills, experience, and relevant education.
