About the Role
This position involves safeguarding retail premises by preventing and identifying theft activities. The store detective will monitor suspicious behavior among customers and staff, collect evidence through witness statements, compose investigative reports, and detain individuals attempting to leave the store unlawfully with merchandise. Handling sensitive situations tactfully and utilizing advanced surveillance tools, including CCTV and electronic tagging systems, are key components of the job.
Essential Requirements
- Possession of a valid PSA license is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a store detective or similar loss prevention role is considered advantageous.
- Applicants must have their own transportation, hold a full clean driving license, and be willing to travel as required.
- A mature and responsible approach to professional duties is necessary.
- Strong observational abilities are essential to effectively perform the role.
