Job Overview
We are seeking a Store Manager for Centra Derrinturn to oversee smooth and efficient store operations while ensuring exceptional customer service and a fresh product offering. This role is focused on driving sales and profitability by effectively managing our team and daily store activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Exemplify Centra's brand values—proud, energetic, imaginative, and community-oriented.
- Manage and supervise overall store operations to ensure efficiency.
- Set, track, and accomplish sales and profitability goals including gross profit margin, net margin, waste reduction, and other KPIs in coordination with the Store Owner.
- Ensure correct implementation of planograms and maintain proper product range within the store.
- Prepare employee schedules, manage annual leave, and keep accurate personnel records.
- Maintain regular communication with the Store Owner and engage productively.
- Ensure the store's merchandising and presentation meets the highest standards and adheres to approved planograms and guidelines.
- Foster a positive, respectful, inclusive, and safe work environment through open communication between employees and management.
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally, consistent with store policies.
- Embrace new initiatives and adapt to innovative operational methods.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of two years' experience in a similar retail management role; four years preferred for this location.
- Proficiency in achieving KPIs and targets.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and acting on business reports.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Exceptional communication and delegation abilities.
- A strong personal work ethic and high motivation.
- Passion for grocery retail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in Centra or SuperValu stores is advantageous.
