Role Summary

The Supply Chain Operations Manager is critical in ensuring that clinical devices reach the right patient efficiently and cost-effectively, meticulously tracking each device throughout its lifecycle. This role demands managing the daily logistics including demand forecasting, vendor and third-party logistics coordination, inventory accuracy, and streamlining a varied device portfolio into a consistent, dependable supply chain operation. It is a hands-on position with opportunities for growth as the supply chain function develops.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage everyday supply chain tasks such as device procurement, vendor oversight, invoice audits, and order execution, assuring supplier reliability, contract adherence, and steady device availability.
• Maintain precise inventory data and device lifecycle control, including asset tracking, efforts to recover devices, and reducing losses due to damage, misplacement, or unreturned units.
• Forecast demand in relation to enrollment growth, balancing inventory levels with service goals while avoiding stock shortages and costly expedited shipping.
• Streamline and standardize the device range by cutting nonessential SKUs, refining bills of materials, and boosting operational efficiency.
• Oversee 3PL and fulfillment partners handling kit assembly, shipping, returns, and reverse logistics, setting service expectations, and driving continual performance enhancements.
• Develop and track critical supply chain KPIs such as fill rate, inventory precision, on-time delivery, device retrieval, and cost per unit, delivering analysis and improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to automate processes related to inventory, provisioning, fulfillment, and device lifecycle to increase transparency and reduce manual tasks.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing when applicable, and seek cost-reduction opportunities without sacrificing quality or service.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a Bachelor's degree, ideally in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Bring a minimum of five years' experience in supply chain, fulfillment, or logistics operations, preferably within a high-growth startup or rapidly scaling environment.
• A proactive, hands-on operator who excels at resolving operational challenges while establishing scalable systems and processes.
• Solid skills in inventory control, demand planning, vendor management, and handling third-party logistics partnerships.
• Strong analytical capability using Excel, Google Sheets, ERP, inventory platforms, and business intelligence tools to guide decisions.
• A proven record of simplifying complex operational processes, optimizing inventory, and standardizing workflows.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented style and ability to coordinate cross-functionally among engineering, clinical, and commercial teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, uncertain environments with a strong sense of ownership; experience with connected medical devices, healthcare operations, or regulated supply chains is advantageous.
