Position Overview

The Supply Planner is responsible for monitoring production assets across the network for assigned products or categories, including both company plants and third-party manufacturers. This role requires developing and implementing inventory plans that reduce working capital while satisfying customer service goals and minimizing product write-offs. The position also involves preparing constrained production plans spanning a 24-month rolling period for co-manufacturers.

Root cause analysis and rollout of corrective measures, along with clear communication to relevant stakeholders, form key components of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the supply plan inclusive of inventory, distribution, and production to meet demand and inventory targets for assigned brands across all US Retail channels and applicable international distribution.
  • Lead supply planning efforts related to new product introductions, product transitions, and discontinuations.
  • Balance production schedules considering supply capabilities, capacity constraints, and other limitations.
  • Control inventory levels accounting for factors like forecasting deviations, planned line shutdowns, sourcing changes, product conversions, and unique customer supply requirements.
  • Identify and coordinate resolution for cross-functional issues impacting supply.
  • Analyze network data to pinpoint ongoing improvement opportunities.
  • Verify planning models to ensure accuracy and that they reflect all network constraints.
  • Monitor and manage potential product obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external contract manufacturing partners for long-term capacity planning.
  • Manage and influence decision-making concerning exceptions from the supply plan, escalating unresolved issues to the Supply Planning Manager.
  • Participate actively in monthly supply reviews with cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct scenario analyses and “what-if” plans to support new product launches and scheduling.
  • Track key supply metrics including case fill rates, inventory coverage days, SMOG, and alerts for assigned brands.

Collaboration

The role involves working closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, and Commercialization teams to troubleshoot issues and prepare for upcoming product launches.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply chain planning or related analytical roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or similar field.
  • Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Access is a plus.
  • Experience using SAP software.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation

The typical base salary for this full-time salaried position ranges from $70,100 to $96,400 annually. Actual salary depends on location, experience, skills, and education. The company also offers competitive health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits starting on the first day of work.

Equal Employment Opportunity

Campbell's is committed to equal opportunity employment for all qualified candidates without regard to race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, marital status, veteran status, disability, age, religion, or any other protected classification under law.
