Role Overview

The Technical Office Engineer position, based onsite in Qatar, involves preparing and reviewing a variety of technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and material submissions. The role ensures all outputs adhere to project requirements and applicable standards. It requires active coordination with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to address technical queries, aid construction activities, and clarify design-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation processes.
• Track and manage technical approvals, ensuring timely submissions.
• Maintain detailed documentation and support report preparation and project record keeping.
• Support continuous enhancement of technical workflows and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Comprehensive technical engineering knowledge pertinent to construction or industrial projects, including interpretation of drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Expertise in engineering office software such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and other project documentation tools.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, clients, and suppliers.
• Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail and capability to manage multiple technical submissions and reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Relevant experience in a technical office or engineering support capacity within construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects — ideally with Gulf region exposure.
• Familiarity with quality, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to engineering and construction domains.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Qatar, adapt to diverse cultural settings, and meet project deadlines under pressure.
