Tendering Specialist

About the Role

As a Tendering Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting this vision by preparing high-quality, technically sound, and commercially competitive proposals. This position works closely with the local sales team, customers, factories, and engineering groups within ABB's Electrification Service division in Singapore, contributing to service sales success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to identify technically suitable and cost-efficient solutions.
• Prepare and finalize detailed technical and commercial offers for proposals.
• Analyze customer needs alongside competitor offerings, including conducting analyses of lost proposals to enhance future bid outcomes.
• Determine solution costs and provide transparent commercial insights to sales personnel.
• Participate actively in risk assessment, project initiation, and client engagement via technical presentations, meetings, negotiations, and trainings.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in proposal engineering, sales support, tendering, or a similar technically focused position.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and SAP ARIBA for managing data and reporting purposes.
• Capable of interpreting customer technical specifications and developing compliant, competitive solutions.
• Solid knowledge of costing, pricing strategies, and preparation of technical and commercial documentation.
• Proven ability to collaborate with sales, manufacturing plants, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Work Model

This role follows an on-site working arrangement in Singapore.
