Job Summary

The role of Video Editor entails crafting visually compelling and engaging video content for various applications including marketing campaigns, social media, and instructional materials. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in video editing software, a creative vision, and the ability to work collaboratively within a production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Transform raw footage and audio into polished final video products aligned with project goals
• Incorporate music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance videos
• Work closely with producers and directors to understand project objectives and requirements
• Design and integrate motion graphics and additional visual components
• Ensure finished videos meet quality standards and deadlines
• Keep current on emerging video editing tools and methods to refine skills
• Organize and maintain project files and archives for efficient access
• Maintain clear communication with clients or stakeholders to meet their expectations
• Manage simultaneous projects within allotted timeframes

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing work
• Expertise in video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
• Understanding of video compression, encoding, and delivery standards
• Experience or familiarity with motion graphics tools like After Effects is advantageous
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication capabilities and problem-solving aptitude
• Capability to handle multiple projects effectively under tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field is preferred though not mandatory

Additional Information

This is a contract-to-hire position located onsite in Colombia. Compensation is determined based on applicant qualifications and experience, with the company reserving the right to adjust pay ranges as necessary.
