Role Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor role is a full-time position located on-site at Coomera, Gold Coast, Queensland. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the warehouse which handles Italian marine and architectural lighting products. Key duties include managing receipt, storage, and dispatch of products, supervising warehouse staff by assigning tasks and monitoring their performance, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met consistently.
Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse personnel and optimize workflow through effective task delegation and performance tracking.
- Manage accurate inventory records and coordinate shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Maintain organized storage facilities and oversee or operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Collaborate with logistics and sales teams to fulfill customer delivery expectations and resolve operational issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills including workforce management and workload coordination.
- Experience in warehouse operations specifically in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Proficient in material handling with forklift operation and current certification where required.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations, compliance in product handling, and routine maintenance of equipment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving aptitude for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail oriented with familiarity in using warehouse management systems or similar software.
- Previous supervisory experience in warehouses dealing with lighting, construction, or marine goods preferred.
- Additional vocational training or qualifications in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management is considered an advantage.
