Web/Mobile Application Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Web/Mobile Application Developer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role requires hands-on involvement in supporting an existing application through stages such as production stabilization, user acceptance testing, pilot deployments, issue resolution, thorough documentation, and final production releases.

Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and maintain web and mobile applications utilizing Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and Flutter.
• Manage production stage activities including hardening, UAT, pilot deployment, and full production releases while swiftly addressing defects to ensure system stability.
• Architect, implement, and maintain secure RESTful APIs with proper authentication, authorization, and adherence to secure coding standards.
• Develop responsive web interfaces using Django templates alongside HTMX, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build mobile applications with Flutter, including device integration and secure storage, managing release builds efficiently.
• Formulate and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database components within Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to debug, conduct code reviews, compile technical documentation, and ensure project success.

Requirements

• Proficient with backend technologies such as Python, Django, Django REST Framework, REST APIs, JWT, OAuth/OIDC, and authentication & authorization mechanisms.
• Experience in frontend web technologies: Django Templates, HTMX, Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Skilled in mobile app development using Flutter and Dart; familiarity with Android development including Zebra handheld devices is beneficial.
• Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on familiarity with development tools including Git, Linux, SSH, CI/CD concepts, and awareness of Docker containers.
• Experience in API testing, regression testing and incorporating OWASP security best practices into release validations.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of Oracle, Cerner, Cloverleaf, or HL7 integrations is a plus.
• Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and enterprise-level application deployments.
• Experience with native Android or iOS app deployment adds advantage.

Experience

Candidates should have between 3 to 6 years of practical experience working with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Flutter, Dart, Microsoft SQL Server, REST APIs, and Git. Proven track record of delivering production-grade web and mobile software combined with strong debuggability and problem-solving abilities is necessary.
