Job description

About The Role

This permanent full-time position within the Infrastructure and Operations Division is responsible for leading and supporting Administration Officers by providing technical guidance. You will collaborate closely with the division's leadership team, acting as the primary contact and ensuring efficient handling of administrative tasks including customer service, Councillor requests, insurance claims, procurement processes, work orders management, records maintenance, correspondence, reporting, and scheduling. Your duties will align with Council standards and contribute to continuous system and process improvements.

About You

The ideal candidate should possess at least five years of administration experience within a multi-disciplinary team, with expertise in administration, finance, legal, or analytical fields. A Certificate IV in Business or equivalent credentials are desirable. Experience in mentoring or developing team members' abilities, excellent customer service skills, and familiarity with council systems such as ECM, CES, Marvel, and Property and Rating are preferred. Holding a 'C' class driver's license and the flexibility to perform duties at various council locations is required.

Employment Details

  • Location: Townsville, Queensland, Australia
  • Work Schedule: Permanent full-time role with a 9-day fortnight, totaling 36.25 hours per week
  • Salary: Base Level LGO4 salary of $86,720 per annum plus superannuation
