Role overview
Strike is looking for an entry-level AI Analyst who is eager to build a career in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics. This position is designed for someone with a solid analytical base and a strong interest in turning data into practical business insights.
The role is based onsite at the company’s Spring, TX office and operates from Strike’s corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX. You will report to the Business Intelligence Manager and work closely with senior colleagues and management while learning on the job.
What you will do
- Support the gathering, cleansing, and preparation of data for analysis and model-building work.
- Carry out exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and unusual data points.
- Assist with building, evaluating, and testing machine learning models and AI-based solutions.
- Track model results and summarize performance, accuracy, and outcomes.
- Develop simple dashboards, reports, and visuals that make insights easier to understand.
- Partner with team members to understand business needs and convert them into analytical tasks.
- Record processes, model details, and findings for internal reference.
- Keep up with new AI tools, methods, and best practices.
- Look for opportunities to automate work and improve processes using AI.
- Prepare user manuals that explain operating steps and provide user training when needed.
- Work with assigned project managers and other project resources to deliver strong solutions and process improvements.
- Follow approved Strike PMO and ITSM procedures, including the required templates.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or another comparable programming language.
- Comfort using SQL and handling datasets.
- Understanding of basic statistics and core data analysis principles.
- Some exposure to machine learning ideas such as regression, classification, and clustering.
- Experience using Excel and/or visualization tools like Power BI.
- Strong eye for detail and a willingness to keep learning.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Exposure to ML libraries through academic coursework or projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot tools is preferred.
- Basic understanding of data pipelines or ETL workflows is preferred.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools or APIs is preferred.
Skills and working style
You should bring analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, curiosity, strong organization, and the ability to work well with others. Clear communication, adaptability, and the ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and procedures are also important. A working understanding of how software development lifecycles operate, including Agile and Waterfall, will help you succeed in this role.
