Role Overview

AXA Partners is looking for an Application Analyst to join their team in Shannon, Ireland. This role involves actively supporting and delivering efficient support for numerous business applications spanning 25 countries. The Application Analyst will act as a vital intermediary between IT and business units within AXA Partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as an Application Analyst supporting IT Business Applications.
  • Assess and validate support incidents, resolving them at first contact when feasible.
  • Handle ticket management across multiple ticketing systems.
  • Convert support incidents into defect tracking entries and coordinate with third-line support or vendors to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain proactive incident management and communicate updates to client groups and broader business as needed.
  • Act as the primary contact for business teams to help manage Product Owner prioritization.
  • Build and sustain collaborative relationships across business functions, clients, and suppliers.
  • Engage in continuous process improvement and uphold support quality standards.
  • Provide operations support for ad hoc inquiries and application training requirements.
  • Communicate system performance issues to business stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams including Network, DBA, and Server groups.
  • Manage change controls within the release management process.
  • Support IT strategic initiatives, including application platform migrations like cloud transitions.
  • Assist with delivering technical enhancements on supported applications.
  • Address IT control issues related to support functions.
  • Take ownership of support for new applications including training, vendor engagement, and learning.
  • Maintain related tools such as application servers and services.
  • Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of applications as needed.
  • Collaborate across IT and business teams for seamless end-to-end solution delivery.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience delivering services under SLA and managing high-pressure situations.
  • Strong client engagement skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Proficient in business and systems analysis.
  • Basic understanding of networking and infrastructure design principles.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, adept at coordinating with functional IT teams such as Network, Security, and QA.
  • Familiarity with security best practices implementation and support.
  • Quick comprehension of technical and business concepts and ability to express them clearly.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Broad knowledge of business, technology, and applications.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Commercially aware with a responsive approach to change.
  • Strong security mindset.

Qualifications

  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Information Technology roles.
