About the Role
Join Tesla's Architecture & Integrated Planning team at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg as an intern. This 6-month full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process improvements and project work under the guidance of the European Manager of Architecture & Integrated Planning. You will gain hands-on experience in defining project scopes, deliverables, tender documentation, and the planning processes for design and construction stages.
Responsibilities
- Gain understanding and application of design and planning principles from construction to build status, including contractual requirements for lead consultant liability and deliverables.
- Analyze existing requirements and pricing to identify cost-effective solutions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary design coordination based on defined scopes of work with all consultants.
- Contribute to project cost budgets, develop cost estimates, and engage in value engineering to understand cost drivers.
- Manage daily supplier relationships.
- Identify and negotiate opportunities for commercial cost reductions.
- Respond to supply shortages as part of procurement strategies.
- Apply Project Management Tools and processes.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and practical experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
- Solid technical comprehension of design drawings, reports, and specifications.
- Ability to visualize concepts and designs to maintain project oversight and enhance processes.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving oriented with strong teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous.
- Commitment to upholding and promoting sustainability principles, adhering to Tesla's Global Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Policy and EMAS requirements, and fostering continuous environmental improvement.

Eligibility
Candidates currently pursuing a relevant degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Manufacturing are eligible to apply. Fluency in English is mandatory, and knowledge of German is a plus.
