Assistant Accountant

Position Overview

Right Formula is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their expanding Finance team. This role is ideal for individuals with a solid background in Accounts Payable who are eager to take on more responsibilities, gain wider exposure, and advance their career within finance.

Key Duties

• Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable operations, including handling supplier invoices and payment runs.
• Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and oversee employee expense and corporate card transaction processing.
• Assist in month-end financial close activities, prepare journal entries, and reconcile balance sheets.
• Contribute to management reporting tasks, track work in progress (WIP), and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Champion ongoing improvements across the finance function.

Candidate Profile

• Prior experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant with practical knowledge of Accounts Payable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and confidence in using finance-related software systems.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and enhance processes.
• Aspirations to progress towards roles involving management accounting.
• Studying or interest in pursuing qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA is a beneficial plus.
