Job description
Role Overview
The Assistant Human Resources Manager will support day-to-day HR operations within a hotel environment in Lucknow. This position covers hiring, onboarding, payroll support, employee relations, welfare programs, training coordination, compliance, and HR record management across departments.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Run the full hiring cycle for different hotel departments, from sourcing through joining.
- Arrange interviews, complete reference verification, and manage joining documentation.
- Conduct new-joiner orientation and help ensure a seamless start for employees.
- Keep manpower reports and hiring trackers current and accurate.
Payroll and Attendance Support
- Assist with monthly payroll preparation and leave administration.
- Check attendance, overtime, and deduction details before payroll is sent for processing.
- Work with the Finance team on salary release and payroll-related follow-ups.
Employee Engagement and Relations
- Organize employee engagement initiatives, activities, and internal events.
- Manage recognition schemes such as Employee of the Month and similar programs.
- Address employee concerns and encourage transparent, open communication.
- Support staff welfare measures including cafeteria facilities, accommodation, and uniforms.
Training and Development
- Work with department heads to identify training requirements.
- Schedule training sessions, track attendance, and collect feedback.
- Maintain training documentation and assist with development initiatives.
Compliance and HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations such as PF, ESIC, and gratuity.
- Maintain personnel records and prepare HR MIS reports.
- Assist with audits and support adherence to labour laws.
- Help implement HR policies and disciplinary procedures.
Vendor and Contract Staff Coordination
- Coordinate with manpower agencies, consultants, and service vendors.
- Validate invoices, attendance records, and supporting documents for contractual staff.
- Ensure vendor personnel meet all statutory compliance requirements.
