Job description

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Assistant Project Manager with a solid background in Civil Engineering to oversee a hospitality development project. The successful candidate will have significant experience managing hotel construction projects, ideally with the last three roles focused on hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management ensuring that timelines, quality standards, and budgets are met effectively.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts including civil, MEP, landscape, and related work for cohesive project delivery.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, generate progress reports, and manage related documentation.
  • Monitor key project milestones, manage risks, and resolve dependencies promptly.
  • Ensure on-site execution aligns with approved plans and specifications.
  • Review and approve technical designs, drawings, BOQs, and specifications to ensure compliance with codes, safety, quality benchmarks, and client expectations.
  • Liaise with consultants, vendors, and contractors for technical approvals and support during project execution.
  • Foster effective communication and coordination across teams and disciplines while promoting safety, quality, and collaboration on site.
  • Supervise team activities, monitor performance, and ensure accountability for deliverables.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Demonstrated track record in hospitality or hotel projects is essential, with recent experience in this sector.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and MEP coordination processes.
  • Experience with luxury or premium hotel developments is preferred.
  • Excellent skills in project management, communication, and stakeholder relations.
  • Capable of managing multiple contractors, agencies, and consultants simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project planning and reporting software such as MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 to 8 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • At least one recently completed hospitality project is a must.
  • Experience with well-regarded PMC, consultancy, or construction companies is advantageous.
