Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning and interpretation of design drawings and specifications throughout project phases to ensure coordinated, clear communication with construction teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Manage project deliverables including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittal tracking, contract drafting, and maintaining project expediting lists.
  • Develop and oversee construction schedules to deliver projects on-time and within budget.
  • Administer subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance, managing changes and deliverable tracking.
  • Coordinate and guide consultants and contractors on behalf of the owner, facilitating smooth project progression.
  • Assist in daily supervision of contractors on site, ensuring adherence to project plans.
  • Plan and coordinate all health and safety requirements essential for project completion.
  • Implement communication plans, maintain documentation such as reports and meeting minutes, and monitor project status.
  • Assist in preparing detailed scopes of work, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, quality control measures, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely billing and ensure subcontractor payments are processed promptly.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to support project team growth and monitor progress.
  • Report regularly to Senior Project Managers on project updates and escalate risk areas as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a degree or diploma related to construction and possesses at least three years of construction experience or an equivalent blend of technical training and project management experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills capable of conveying technical details to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in scheduling, project management, and contract software tools.
  • Capable of supporting the project team through problem-solving and independent initiative.
  • Able to interpret construction specifications and drawings accurately.
  • Enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders including project teams, leadership, legal counsel, and consultants.
  • Exemplifies a strong work ethic, excels at multitasking, and thrives working autonomously.

Additional Information

The position offers a salary between 70000 and 90000 CAD annually.
