Job description

Role overview

A respected Irish main contractor is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of residential, commercial, and heritage developments in Dublin and surrounding areas. The position suits someone who already works in planning, design coordination, technical submittals, or site engineering and is ready to take on a wider project delivery remit.

What you will do

  • Work alongside the Project Manager to monitor the programme, report progress, and coordinate day-to-day project actions.
  • Handle project paperwork such as RFIs, submittals, design-related queries, and compliance files.
  • Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, and site personnel so that information moves quickly and work stays on track.
  • Support inspections and quality checks, helping ensure the work matches the required specifications.
  • Assist with planning the sequence of works and tracking important milestones.
  • Contribute to site logistics, health and safety support, and general project administration.
  • Keep project logs, trackers, records, and communication trails up to date.

Suitable backgrounds

The employer is considering applicants with experience in design coordination and technical submittals, construction planning or scheduling, site engineering with strong coordination/document control exposure, or junior project coordination / assistant project management roles.

Tools and systems

Experience using BIM, Revit, Navisworks, Procore, or similar construction/project platforms would be beneficial.

What the role can offer

  • Exposure to prominent projects.
  • A clear route for career progression with a well-regarded main contractor.
  • A position that combines technical coordination, planning, and delivery responsibilities.
  • Supportive surroundings for growing into a full Project Manager position.
