Position Summary
The Assistant Store Manager (Duty Manager) will be responsible for supervising daily store functions, ensuring excellent customer experience, and managing the store staff throughout assigned shifts. Preference is given to professionals with experience in supermarkets or grocery settings. However, candidates from fashion retail, quick service restaurants, or lifestyle sectors possessing robust leadership and customer service skills are also considered.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee smooth and efficient store operations during assigned shifts.
- Manage floor operations, allocate staff, and ensure superior customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and implement control measures to reduce shrinkage.
- Supervise cashier operations, ensuring accurate billing and cash handling.
- Address customer complaints and escalations, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Uphold store standards in hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the Store Manager in reaching sales goals and targets.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and motivation to store associates.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in store operations management and team leadership.
- Solid understanding of merchandising, inventory management, and customer interaction.
- Basic educational qualifications are acceptable.
Selection Process
- Initial online test.
- Followed by one face-to-face interview.
- Concluding with one online interview round.
