Job Overview
The Assistant Stores Manager will support the Inventory Manager in various operational and inventory control functions at Deerghayurveda, Ambala, Haryana. This role involves overseeing warehouse activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, managing returns, and preparing reports and audit documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Manage facility space, equipment, and ensure smooth daily workflow processes.
- Maintain precise inventory records through consistent cycle counts and stock level management.
- Reconcile inventory data between Easy Com and Marg software platforms on a regular basis.
- Implement controls to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor logistics partners to ensure efficient performance.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and develop process improvements aimed at cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
- Effectively manage returns and reverse logistics procedures.
- Prepare management information system reports such as MSLR, Stock Ageing, audit details, and daily summaries as required by the Head Office.
- Coordinate monthly and annual stock and systems compliance audits and address any non-compliance issues raised.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum educational qualification is completion of 12th grade; preference given to graduates.
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in inventory or stores management.
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical mindset to interpret operational data and metrics effectively.
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and logistics operations.
- Ability to lead sizeable teams and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using Easy Com and Marg software for inventory management.
Employment Terms
- Work schedule is Monday through Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 6 PM.
- Location of the position is Deerghayurveda, Ambala, Haryana.
- The salary offered is around 40,000 INR per month.
- Reporting structure includes Functional reporting to Stores Manager and Operational reporting to GM.
