About the Role
We are presenting an exciting career opportunity based in Doha, Qatar, for an Associate Director / Team Leader specializing in Cost Management. This role includes providing comprehensive pre and post contract Quantity Surveying services specifically for building and real estate operations and maintenance projects linked to major developments.
Key Duties
- Provide expert pre and post contract cost management support for construction and facilities management packages.
- Advise on and execute facilities management procurement strategies effectively.
- Manage commissions ensuring delivery of services meets the high standards and procedures of the organization.
- Foster, develop, and maintain strong client relationships through positive engagement and communication.
- Represent the consultancy as a senior authoritative figure in meetings with client senior management when necessary.
- Deliver cost planning, estimating, and value engineering services.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and tender documentation, in addition to overseeing the tender process including design of tender evaluation criteria.
- Compile and present detailed reports to clients.
- Alert Directors proactively to any arising or potential project issues.
Candidate Profile
- MRICS Chartered Professional status is required along with MMUP Grade A certification.
- Extensive expertise in all facets of pre and post contract cost management.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience post graduation in quantity surveying roles.
- At least 10 years’ professional experience in the GCC region, notably Qatar, with 5 or more years on infrastructure projects exceeding US$100 million.
- Good knowledge pertaining to building projects and significant mixed-use developments.
- Practical understanding of various construction procurement and tendering strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Educational Background
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant engineering discipline.
- MRICS or equivalent professional chartered status.
- MMUP Grade A certification.
