Role Overview
The Associate will facilitate the efficient execution, monitoring, coordination, and documentation of projects in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. This position entails close cooperation with partners, government bodies, and local stakeholders to ensure timely project completion, compliance adherence, capacity enhancement, and quality control. Ideal candidates should have strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and analytical abilities, and be capable of field-based work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and nurture relationships with implementation partners in Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri, ensuring seamless collaboration and smooth field activity execution.
- Develop a robust partnership network to boost sustained project impact.
- Identify capacity-building requirements for implementation partners, PRI members, and government departments aligned with project objectives.
- Organize and lead training sessions to enhance stakeholders' service delivery and implementation efficiency.
- Supervise day-to-day project field activities to maintain progress and quality.
- Ensure all project milestones are achieved within set timelines and budgets.
- Resolve challenges encountered during project execution and escalate issues when necessary.
- Conduct regular on-site visits to verify quality and stakeholder involvement.
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date documentation of project actions, decisions, and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and governmental regulations.
- Coordinate contractual agreements with partners, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
- Manage invoicing processes to guarantee timely submissions and payments as per contract terms.
- Keep precise financial records related to partner contracts and project expenditures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, Rural Development, Development Studies, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in project management, program delivery, or development initiatives.
- Prior exposure to working with government departments, implementation partners, or community organizations is advantageous.
Required Skills
- Strong abilities in stakeholder and partner relationship management.
- Familiarity with Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks, indicators, and reporting mechanisms.
- Experience with data collection, validation, analysis, and systematic documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Proficient report writing and presentation skills.
- Skill in juggling multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Readiness for extensive travel within project areas.
