Overview
The Associate Field Engineer applies established Field Engineering methods to address standard technical issues, working under supervision while utilizing foundational knowledge of engineering theories and procedures. This role supports project efforts within the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) sector.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support engineering activities ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry norms in the EPCI domain.
- Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, detect design discrepancies, and recommend timely corrective measures.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain smooth project communication and coordination.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports covering site progress, technical assessments, and quality controls.
- Assist in creating thorough project execution plans, including deliverables, schedules, and commissioning tasks.
- Address technical issues on-site by proposing innovative solutions that reduce risks and improve performance.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental policies, encouraging a safety-focused culture among teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and internal quality systems to meet project and customer objectives.
- Offer technical support to internal teams and external parties by clarifying queries and facilitating effective cooperation.
- Identify and suggest improvements for processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize project execution methods.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- At least three years of experience in the EPCI industry.
- Knowledge of project execution methodologies and engineering processes.
- Skilled in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalents.
- Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Familiar with relevant codes and standards applicable to the EPCI sector.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities promoting collaboration across functions.
