About the Role

Join Merck Group's Inhouse Consulting (IC) APAC team as an Associate in the GoGlobal Graduate Program, tailored for emerging professionals passionate about Data and Artificial Intelligence. This 24-month leadership development initiative offers opportunities to engage in a variety of management-consulting projects and functional rotations within Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics divisions, including international placements up to 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with consultants on client engagements, driving projects from strategy formulation through execution to create significant business impact.
  • Take independent ownership of projects during second-year Stations, working closely with Station managers to prioritize and deliver functional goals.
  • Enhance the team's consulting capabilities, cultivate client relations, and foster collaborative teamwork within IC.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a Master’s degree in Business disciplines such as Economics, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management, or in Data & AI-related fields including Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning. An MBA is advantageous.
  • Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in biological and chemical sciences or equivalent domains such as Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Brings 2 to 4 years of experience in a regional or global corporate role within a multinational corporation or consulting firm, specifically involving Data & AI expertise.
  • Additional informal consulting experience or involvement in consulting clubs is welcomed.
  • Tech-savvy with a keen interest in developing and applying Data & AI skills to enhance productivity and business value.
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking for structured project planning, detailed analysis, and challenging existing frameworks.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships across diverse teams.
  • Experienced in adapting culturally by living and working internationally, especially in Western environments, outside their home country.
  • Committed to continuous professional growth, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, including potential assignments in Darmstadt, Germany for up to six months.
  • Fluent in English and at least one additional language.
