Job Overview
The role of Associate NDT Technician is designed for individuals at an entry-level stage, executing tasks under close supervision while adhering to defined standard procedures and scientific methods. The position mandates strict compliance with quality standards and requires fundamental skills in analytical or scientific operations along with necessary certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and accurately report flaws as conforming or non-conforming.
- Conduct non-destructive tests on welds and materials using methods such as Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) following project-specific NDT plans, procedures, codes, and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control inspector to confirm the completion of any rectifications.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- At least one year of experience as an NDT technician in the relevant area.
- Certification such as ASNT, PCN, or CSWIP Level II.
- Competency in computer usage and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform and document daily calibration of NDT equipment as per procedural requirements.
- Skillful in interpreting testing results properly, judging weld quality, and reporting findings according to applicable codes and acceptance criteria.
