Associate Team Lead - Treasury

About the Role

The Associate Team Lead (ATL) in Treasury will be responsible for streamlining procedures related to KYC and bank administration. The role focuses on completing critical assigned responsibilities while meeting two key performance indicators: timeliness and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate processes related to bank account openings, maintenance, KYC refreshes, and regulatory documentation in partnership with international banking institutions.
• Manage user access administration across various banking portals, including creating, modifying, reviewing entitlements, handling approval matrices, token management, and periodic access re-certification.
• Maintain and govern a comprehensive global bank account inventory and database, ensuring accurate and updated information on account details, signatories, ownership, purposes, and relevant banking documents.
• Support establishing, testing, and maintaining cash concentration mechanisms such as intra- and inter-bank sweeps, zero balance accounts, target balancing, and notional pooling structures.
• Conduct routine e-banking user access audits to confirm appropriate user rights, approval authorities, token assignments, and segregation of duties across all bank portals.
• Coordinate with banking partners to set up and sustain MT940 and MT942 bank reporting services, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery of account statements.
• Collaborate closely with Treasury, Finance, and IT teams to integrate bank reporting and payment connectivity with ERP systems.
• Assist in bank connectivity projects involving SWIFT, host-to-host interfaces, API banking, and treasury management solutions.
• Validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot bank statement files and cash reporting data.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, KYC regulations, banking laws, and audit standards.

Technical Expertise

• Experience collaborating with team managers to optimize processes within Shared Services Centers.
• Thorough understanding of end-to-end Foreign Exchange (FX) exposure reporting procedures.
• Strong familiarity with SAP environments.

Education and Experience

• A Master of Business Administration degree with at least three years of relevant professional experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Prior exposure to commodity or FMCG sectors is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience in Shared Services Centre operations is highly desirable.

Additional Information

This position reports to the Manager of Treasury and is based in Mohali, Punjab, India. The team structure does not include any subordinates reporting directly to this role.
