Role Purpose

We are inviting applications for an enthusiastic and meticulous Bar Executive to become part of our energetic hospitality team in Visakhapatnam, India. This central role entails delivering outstanding beverage service while upholding supreme quality, safety, and client satisfaction standards. Collaboration with colleagues from all departments to foster smooth operations and craft unforgettable guest experiences is essential.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Craft and serve a variety of beverages following established recipes and quality benchmarks, demonstrating proficiency in mixology and beverage expertise.
Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and complaints related to drinks and service, resolving issues politely and empathetically.
Maintain impeccable cleanliness and order in the bar area and storage, rigorously adhering to HACCP and food safety protocols.
Operate bar equipment securely and responsibly, complying with manufacturer recommendations and hotel safety policies.
Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems precisely and transparently, keeping detailed documentation.
Monitor and regulate beverage stock through frequent inventory audits and timely ordering to reduce waste.
Coordinate effectively with all hotel departments to enhance productivity, cooperation, and guest service delivery.
Support management in preparing accurate and timely budgetary reports and information.
Adhere strictly to hotel security, fire safety, and emergency guidelines at all times.
Comply with ISO 9001 quality assurance standards and ISO 14001 environmental initiatives, including energy saving and waste reduction practices.
Deliver excellent customer service by engaging guests warmly and professionally while being attentive to local tastes and cultural subtleties.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Demonstrated experience in bar operations and beverage preparation within hospitality settings.
Proficient in cash handling and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Strong knowledge of beverage mixes, cocktails, and mixology techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with capability in tactful complaint resolution.
Competency in managing inventory and controlling stock.
Comprehensive understanding of HACCP protocols and food and beverage safety standards.
Familiarity with operation and maintenance of bar equipment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to collaborate efficiently with cross-departmental teams.
Problem-solving aptitude with decisiveness under pressure.

Preferred Credentials

HACCP or equivalent food safety certification.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Mixology or bartending certification.
Experience working in hotels or similar hospitality environments.
Understanding of regional beverages and consumer preferences specific to Visakhapatnam.
Awareness of environmental management systems, notably ISO 14001.
