Job description

Role Overview

Hyatt Regency Trivandrum is looking for a Bartender to deliver dependable, high-quality service to guests and support beverage operations in the hotel’s selected outlets. This role focuses on preparing drinks, interacting with guests in a professional manner, and maintaining smooth day-to-day bar service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Welcome guests courteously and maintain a polished, friendly approach throughout service.
  • Record drink and food orders accurately and ensure prompt service.
  • Suggest beverages or menu options based on customer taste and preferences.
  • Keep the bar space neat, orderly, and sufficiently stocked at all times.
  • Comply with all hygiene and safety rules, including careful handling of glassware and ingredients.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly and adhere to legal drinking age requirements.
  • Track inventory levels for liquor, mixers, and other bar supplies.
  • Replenish stock and bar materials whenever needed.
  • Escalate shortages, repair needs, or other issues to the management team.
  • Handle payments correctly through cash and card modes.
  • Manage the cash register accurately and complete daily balancing of sales.
  • Compile sales and stock reports as requested.
  • Support hotel events, banquets, and special promotions when required.
  • Help promote the hotel’s services and facilities to guests.

Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or Tourism Management. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel operations is required. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Trivandrum, Kerala, India.
