About the Role
Join our Bega plant team as a Batcher/Plant Operator, playing a key part in our concrete manufacturing operations. You'll ensure smooth plant functionality through tasks such as operating fixed and mobile equipment, batching concrete according to specific orders, monitoring performance indicators, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Precisely batch concrete orders using dedicated software and systems tailored to specific mix designs.
- Operate a front-end loader safely to measure materials for batching processes.
- Handle daily administrative duties including inventory management of raw materials and preparing monthly demand forecasts.
- Engage actively in safety programs, including conducting pre-start checks, participating in toolbox talks, and reporting incidents promptly.
- Perform general upkeep and maintenance tasks within the yard area.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in the concrete industry.
- Proficiency with computer systems for multiple operational and safety reporting tasks.
- Adaptability to undertake various tasks across the plant as needed.
- Willingness to work at different concrete plants when required.
- Holding an HR truck licence is considered advantageous.
