Battery Sorter - Afternoon Shift

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dedicated full-time Battery Sorter to enhance its expanding liquids division. Shift Details

The scheduled work hours are from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Primary Duties

• Separate and sort various types of batteries along a production conveyor system.
• Operate a forklift to move raw materials, scrap, and recyclable items within the facility.
• Perform data entry tasks utilizing Microsoft Excel and the Greentrax software.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Complete additional assignments as directed by supervisory staff.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Secondary school education completion is mandatory.
• Prior experience in production line roles or warehouse operations preferred.
• Forklift and overhead crane operational experience is considered advantageous.
• Understanding of OHSA Rights and Responsibilities and completion of WHMIS training.
• Physical capability for manual handling of materials is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk frequently, and perform minimal climbing such as ladders and stairs.
• Consistent use and upkeep of personal protective equipment, including respirator masks.
